Evgeny Korolev
Hailing from Moscow, Evgeny Korolev officially turned professional in 2005. Since then, he has leapt up the rankings, claiming 3 Futures titles in 2005 and breaking into the top 100 in the ATP world rankings in 2006. In 2007 he broke through to reach his first ATP semi-final in Las Vegas and advanced to the quarterfinals in three other tournaments. This has made for a successful year allowing the Russian to total a career-high of 20 wins in ATP matches while finishing in the Top 100 for a second straight season.

Evgeny names Pete Sampras as his idol growing up and says he is never happier than on the tennis court. His current goal is to reach the top 10 in the world in the not too distant future.

Evgeny now spends most of his time in Germany and is coached by his father, Evgeny Snr. Aside from tennis, he is also a big ice hockey fan.

We look forward to what promises to be a bright future career for this talented young Russian.
